Based on the practical needs of Vietnamese university lecturers who have been conducting and publishing scientific papers, in three days from 2^nd to 4^th May, 2022, NTTU in cooperation with the University of East Anglia (UK) organized the Research Planning & Publication Skills Workshop. This event is part of a series of cooperative activities between bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c and the University of East Anglia.

The program was delivered by Dr. Susan Matthews (Adjunct Professor, University of East Anglia – UK) and Dr. Bui Le Minh (Biotechnology, NTT Institute of High-Tech, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c ). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President, Director of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Social Sciences, NTTU along with a large number of delegates who are lecturers and researchers from institutes, universities and colleges across the country (Can Tho University, Tay Nguyen University, Hue University, Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City �? participated in the workshop through the Zoom platform.

The training workshop is designed for researchers with a lack of experiences in publishing academic papers on international journals. Therefore, the workshop is also an opportunity for new researchers to learn, exchange experiences to improve research competency and publication skills. At the workshop, experts discussed topics regarding research plans and scientific research skills such as How to publish a scientific research paper; Guidance on research writing skills; Writing scientific papers in professional written English, Drafting and data screening; Structuring a scientific paper; Ethics in research, scientific publication�?/p>

In the field of education, especially higher education, scientific research and international publication play a vital role. At NTTU, the University has always focused on scientific and technology innovative activities. Hence, the University regularly organizes activities to encourage research and international publication amongst the faculty staff. Over the years, the University has obtained many achievements in terms of both quantity and quality through publications of papers on ISI/SCOPUS journals, prestigious domestic and international journals, and the publication of findings of scientific research projects at all levels. Through this workshop, the University hopes to continue to improve the research competency and publication skills on international journals of lecturers, researchers in general and lecturers of bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c in particular.

It is expected that the two institutions will cooperate to organize many activities and events in different fields and contents in the future

NTTU – In January, 2021, the Digital Doctorate Training Hub project was accepted by the 2020 UK-China-BRI Education Partnership Initiative fund of the British Council for a grant of 65,000 GBP (co-funding 30,000 GBP from Birmingham City University for the BCU staff cost and overheads) during four years from 2021 to 2024. This grant covers the travel costs among UK, Indonesia, China and Vietnam.

In 2016, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c and Birmingham City University had done successfully the project named Improving employability outcomes through student-centred approaches to learning�?sponsored by the Higher Education Partnership fund of the British Council Vietnam. Continuing the success of this project, in 2017, the British Council Vietnam approved to fund the extended project with the title “Digitising and re-contextualising successful approaches to student-centred learning for employability in Vietnamese contexts�?with the participation of Birmingham City University, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c , University of Education Ha Noi and HCMC University of Education.

In August, 2018, the British Council Vietnam decided to fund the project for two more years (2018-2019) with the theme of “Teaching and learning together: re-visioning TNE partnerships as collaborative communities of practice�?participated by Birmingham City University, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c , University of Education Ha Noi, HCMC University of Education, and PhD students.

In December, 2020, the British Council announced for the 2020 UK-China-BRI Education Partnership Initiative fund. Realizing that this would be a good opportunity for continuing from the success of previous projects, the partners decided to invite Northeast Normal University (China) and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (Indonesia) to join the project with the extension of researched outcomes.

There are six universities joining the project, including Birmingham City University, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c , University of Education Ha Noi, HCMC University of Education, Northeast Normal University (China) and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (Indonesia). The Digi-Doc will develop an international doctoral training hub that will become a virtual ‘centre�?of excellence for applied doctoral research in Education. Digi-Doc will deliver the following outcomes:

• An international blended programme, the EdD-I that is responsive to the needs of teachers in China, Indonesia and Vietnam and designed to be delivered collaboratively between partners
• A Digi-Doc online supervisor training programme, benchmarked to a UK accredited programme, that supports development of leading edge skills and expertise in supervising ‘close to practice research�?/li>
• A networked international community of doctoral students and supervisors with a shared commitment to the value of ‘close to practice�?research.

Those projects have brought a lot of benefits to bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c (since 2016) with the highly trust and appreciation by the British Council, improve the image and reputation of the university, and also contribute to the success of the university in achieving the goal of promoting training quality, improving staff capacity and internationalization. Currently, due to the impact of the covid-19 epidemic, the project’s activities are conducted in the online forms.

MEETING OF THE UK-VN HEP PROJECT (PHASE 2) AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY From 7th to 9th August 2019

Participants include representatives from the universities in the UK and Vietnam including University of East Anglia –�?strong>UEA, bet365 soccer B?m ?? v��o trang web ch��nh th?c –�?strong>NTTU, Institute of Tropical Technology –�?strong>ITT, Tay Nguyen University –�?strong>TNU, Thai Nguyen University of Science –�?strong>TNUS, and  Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy –�?strong>CTUMP.

On 7^th August 2019, the first session was held at CTUMP with the attendance of more than 30 delegates from other universitieswith the following contents: (1) introducing members of the phase 2 HEP project; (2) discussing the detailed working contents of the next two days; (3) visiting the traditional room, Pharmacy Faculty and some places of CTUMP.

On 8^th August 2019, at the morning session the UK-VN HEP members presented and discussed the implementation the videos of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine  and Medicinal Chemistry. At the afternoon session, the members discussed the following workshops: workshop on active teaching methods in December and three other educational workshops next year; also, the opportunities of the collaborations between universities and institutions of both countries (the UK and Vietnam).

On 9^th August 2019, CTUMP had a chance to organize a tour at two attractive places in Can Tho City: Cai Rang floating market and Can Tho traditional rice noodle factory. This tour aimed to introduce the cultural beauty of Can Tho city to the guests from the UK and other regions of Vietnam.

Through the meeting sessions and visits at CTUMP and in Can Tho city,  many projects and plans with specific objectives have been gradually planned and developed. The guests from the UK and other regions of Vietnam also thanked CTUMP for the warm reception and they could enjoy the cultural beauty of the captial of Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The UK-VN HEP project (Phase 2)successfully closed with many promising results.
