Brief introduction
The Graphic design program was opened according to Decision 3137/QĐ-BGDĐT dated Aug 17, 2012, and started its first intake in 2012. It is designed based on the Outcome-based Education (OBE) educational approach. The program aims to provide students with knowledge, skills including soft skills, professional skills, and ethical understanding, as well as autonomy and responsibility for personal development and future professional application declared through the Learning Outcomes (LOs). The LOs of the program align with the Vietnamese national qualification framework at each level, reflecting the requirements of stakeholders internally and externally, benchmarked nationally and regionally. The program is continuously improved, self-assessed periodically, and validated against national and regional standards. The program’s degree level is clearly defined and communicated to learners, meeting the requirements of the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework for higher education and aligning with similar programs in the region. The focus is on transferable, creative skills working hand in hand with high technology, and digital painting. The program will explore Graphic design and Illustration and Concept Art using art techniques and state of the art software Adobe Creative Suite as well as a whole host of other industry standard applications. The focus of the Bachelor of Graphic design programme is job market orientation. Students will graduate with a strong portfolio of practical work and be industry-ready to produce effective material or online publishing. In 2024, the Graphic design program was certified Quality Accreditation certificate according to Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT.
