NTTU – In the morning of April 8^th, 2017, at Au Co Art Center – Vietnam National Music, Song, and Dance Theater, the International Intellectual Property Institute, Vietnam Entrepreneurs Scientific Union, and VNPACO Company together celebrated the sixth “Famous Trademark-Brand” award ceremony (2017). Among the attendees at the event, there was the presence of: Dr. Cao Si Kiem, Chairman of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Scientific Union; Mr. Ta Quang Minh, Director of Vietnam Intellectual Property Research Institute – Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development – Ministry of Science and Technology; Mr. Luong Hoang Hung, Deputy General Secretary of Vietnam Intellectual Property Association; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property Development – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Invention Association; Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Scientists and Engineers; and Mr. Vu Manh Dung, Vice Director of International Intellectual Property Institute.

The “Famous Trademark – Brand 2017” program applies the criteria listed in Vietnam Intellectual Property Law. The program’s objective is to identify famous and reputable trademarks-brands in Vietnam by studying consumer trend and consumer confidence level throughout the country. This will give the domestic companies a more objective perspective about their own trademarks-brands and the motivation to create stronger trademarks-brands, thereby improve the overall quality of the products and services to be offered to the market.
